Purpose

PURPOSE

The greatest task for any person is to find meaning in his or her life. If you want to restore your inner strength, you must first succeed in discovering a future goal.

People without goals deteriorate into vices, substance use, and depression. Inactivity is harmful to our bodies and our souls. It makes our addiction worse but is cancelled out by activity.

You can find purpose in work and doing something for society, loving and caring for friends and family, and in having courage during difficult times.

Even in the most miserable situations, people can find meaning in life through triumph over a circumstance. Turn negative aspects of life into something positive and constructive.

You have a purpose in life to improve yourself over time. Character requires improvement and discipline. Be satisfied each day reducing the things you do wrong and finding fault with your mistakes.

Improve yourself through the consistency of habits. If you want to do something well, make a habit of doing it.

Take care of your physical health to prolong your life, improve its quality, and maximize the good you do for the world during your lifetime.

Do nothing unsocial and focus your energy on the common interest of society. Reorient your attention from selfish things to selfless ones. Helping others benefits you.

We are meant to work in some capacity. It provides us with purpose and a way to do good for society. Employment provides meaning and without it we have insecurity, sadness and depression, leading to relapse.

When we can’t work, we can volunteer and do good for society.

If you have to take a temporary menial job, do it. When other opportunities arise, expand your efforts and jump to a new opportunity. Adapt to your circumstances fearlessly.

Be laborious and work hard from the beginning of the day. If you are prone to avoiding hard work, train and exercise your opinions to remove your aversion towards everything of that kind.

You have a responsibility to preserve your natural and acquired relationships, such as being a son or daughter, brother or sister, father or mother, and as a citizen.

Family comes first. Never neglect your duties to your family members. If they can help you stay sober, let them do so.

Take particular care in your choice of friends and maintain friendships that promote a sober and positive life. Don’t search for friends by who is the best or most wise, but by who is the least bad.

If your friends are open to or maintain stoic principles, cherish their friendship dearly. Help them also live positive and healthy lives.
